Maddi worked in hungry jacks! She loved her job and thought it was soo awesome when she got chosen as a 'teamleader' for her crew.
She was loved by her brother jonny, sister pheobe, and mother mary.
On the 24th of October 2006, Matilda took her own life.
It was of unknown reasons that we will never know.
It was a very sad night that will never be forgotten.
She was shortish, with spikey black hair, and the brightest bluest eyes ive ever come across. She was so beautiful in her own way.
She touched so many people with her smile, her childish laugh and her way of making everyone feel good.
She was so much fun to be around! she lived life to the extreme and never took anything for granted. She attended Norwood Morialta High School and was currently completing year 10 studies when she passed away.
I think Matilda gave everyone a message, something that we would have never took seriously until it hit us between the eyes.
"Live everyday as your last"
She is missed by soooooo many people. I think everyone who knew her would give almost anything just to see her one last time. Hear her laugh once more.

From what I knew of Matilda, she was a wonderful person. i coached her basketball team when she was in year 8 (i think she was in yr 8). she was such a bright spark in the group. really enjoyed her company. she had so much going for her. she was smart, funny and gorgeous!! it was such a shock that she took her own life, a sad day that is mourned but not forgotten. my deepest condolences to the Plattens. with such a big loss to the family your all still doing so well. i have alot of respect for you Mary, you have done a pheonominal job raising your family under your circumstances. you should be very proud of Jono and Phoebe. Jono, Mate, you are awesome. a good friend, training partner and you have the right attitude in life! hope our friendship keeps going strong! Matilda will live on in our memories. All the best!

God Bless and thanks for your thoughts and condolences on our very great loss. Matilda was fabulous from the day she was born and we are still trying to cope with her death. Her friends have recently held a party in her honour and we are looking at beginning a foundation in her memory.
